Job Description

Operate all Special Operations machinery and select Open End Die Cut machines. Examine work orders to determine specifications and perform sample verification. Inspect product quality according to established guidelines and maintain accurate counts of envelopes in boxes, cartons, and skids. Pack envelopes uniformly and neatly, keeping pace with machine speed. Place die cut paper stacks onto the machine feed, check orders throughout production for accurate labeling, printing, and packaging. Assist in removing paper jams and perform preventative maintenance as scheduled. Complete paperwork to record labor, time, and quantity. Conduct machine wash-ups and other cleaning duties.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of recent machine operating experience.

  • Experience multi-tasking as a machine operator, including reading customer orders and performing documentation tasks.

  • 1+ years of recent use of math/conversions/tape measure experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience from the paper or plastics industry is preferred.

  • Any kind of recent experience doing quality checks is a plus.

  • Experience with unjamming and/or basic troubleshooting is a plus.

Work Environment

The position operates on the 1st shift, from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with training provided for 4-6 months. The facility accommodates bilingual staff and requires the ability to read English. The environment is unionized, offering a structured and supportive work setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Butler, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
