This position
supports the mission of providing high quality, compassionate care to individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. This role delivers psychoeducation, individual and group counseling, and case management services that address the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of recovery. The Counselor collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop treatment plans and support long-term recovery in a safe, supportive, and healing environment.
Primary Duties:
Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions for individuals impacted by substance use disorders.
Conduct assessments and assist in diagnosing substance use and co-occurring disorders within scope of licensure.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the clinical team.
Provide psychoeducation related to addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention.
Maintain and manage an assigned caseload of clients.
Coordinate care and treatment planning with case managers and other healthcare professionals.
Communicate with referral sources, family members, probation officers, courts, and medical providers regarding treatment progress.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
Participate in treatment team meetings and treatment plan reviews.
Respond to and de-escalate crises using therapeutic interventions.
Provide First Aid and CPR when necessary.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field OR Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC). LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or equivalent licensure preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in addiction treatment or related clinical services, including at least one year working with the target population.
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) preferred
CPR / First Aid certification
