Job Title: 3rd Shift PM Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 3rd Shift PM Mechanic to join our team and ensure that our machinery is in optimal operational order during our peak season. This role requires strong experience with conveyors and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to service calls, providing mechanical and technical support, and troubleshooting automated material handling system components in a large distribution center.
Responsibilities
Perform on-site installation, servicing, and repair of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision.
Conduct mechanical and lubrication tasks on automated material handling equipment, including belt installation, bolt and tension roll adjustment, aligning rollers, and replacing defective parts.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment such as pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, and electronic and electrical equipment according to safety and quality procedures.
Assist in formulating preventative maintenance standards and work procedures, providing feedback on discrepancies noted during service delivery.
Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, automated conveyor systems, and key components of the distribution center.
Provide daily support to operations, especially through daily inspections as required by site guidelines.
Utilize various tools and instruments to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on conveying systems.
Participate in cleaning conveyor systems and maintenance areas.
Perform general facility maintenance, including light bulb replacement, furniture relocation, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, boom and scissor lifts, and other powered equipment.
Essential Skills
5+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance of industrial manufacturing process/production equipment.
Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues hands-on.
Knowledge of hand/power tools, precision alignment, rigging, welding, blueprints, and preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance.
Understanding of CMMS systems for work order and inspection completion.
Basic math skills for inventory and measurement conversion accuracy.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Command of safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous operation of powered equipment, specifically Crown MHE, and industrial vehicles.
Certified 5S experience.
Sortation experience.
Knowledge of shrink tunnel repair/troubleshooting.
PLC knowledge is a plus, though not required.

Work Environment
This position requires working the 3rd shift from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with training on the 1st Shift. The role involves frequent bending, lifting, walking, and other physical activities, sometimes in extreme temperatures. You will report to the Lead Maintenance Technician and Facilities Manager.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
