Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a Substance Abuse Crisis Center in Burlington, North Carolina . This role supports patients experiencing substance use and behavioral health crises in a low-acuity, facility-based setting . Nurses will cross-train and work within both Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) and Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) units.
Schedule
Shift: Days
Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Set Schedule:
Sunday – Tuesday
Every other Saturday
Weekly Hours: 36/48

Pay Rates
Travel Rate: $2,002/week gross (36-hour week)
Local Rate: $45/hour
Unit Details
16-bed facility
Low-level acuity
Cross-training between FBC and BHUC
Night staffing includes:
1 RN
1 Peer Support
1 Qualified Professional
RN Responsibilities
Patient admissions and intake
Obtain and document vitals
Medication administration
Nursing assessments
Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team
Support patients through detox and crisis stabilization
Required Experience
Substance abuse detox experience REQUIRED
Behavioral health or crisis nursing experience strongly preferred
Active RN license (NC or compact eligible)

Minimum Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
