Scientific Systems Company, Inc. Software Engineer II - Autonomy Systems in Burlington, Massachusetts
Scientific Systems is looking to fill a Software Engineer position in AI/Autonomy software development. The successful applicant will support software development of advanced AI/Autonomy technologies for collaborative, autonomous mission systems operating in multiple domains.
Essential Functions:
Support development of advanced AI/Autonomy software for multi-vehicle mission systems operating in complex, contested environments.
Work as part of a program team, to design, implement, simulate, and test autonomy software systems for uncrewed, multi-vehicle autonomy systems.
Support presentation of technical results to internal and external customers.
This position may require occasional travel if needed.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a United StatesDOD Security Clearance.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Statistics, Robotics or related subject area and 3+ years of related experience.
Experience in software development for AI, Robotics, and/or Machine Learning applications or systems
Experience in C/C++, Python, and/or embedded/real-time computing applications. Familiarity with Linux-based development environments.
Experience working with of modern software development tools (Gitlab/Github.
Prior technical writing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of robotics technology: middleware/ROS, perception, navigation, task/path planning, multi-robot coordination
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong teamwork experience.

Salary: $108,000 - $131,000 (Depends on Experience)
