Classroom LPN Needed for 2025–2026 School Year
Location: Arlington, MA
Setting: Middle School
Pay: Up to $40/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Start Date: Approximately 2 weeks from offer
Duration: Full 2025–2026 school year, with potential to extend
Amergis Educational Staffing is partnering with a middle school in Arlington, MA to hire a Classroom LPN for the upcoming school year. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working in a school setting, supporting students with significant needs, and maintaining a steady weekday schedule.
About the Student and Role
You will be supporting one middle-school student with:
Severe autism with intellectual, behavioral, and communication disabilities
Non-verbal communication
Toileting and/or diapering needs
While nursing oversight is required—particularly being present in case the student experiences a seizure—the vast majority of the role (about 98%) involves teacher assistant duties , including:
Assisting with daily classroom activities
Supporting transitions
Helping students stay engaged throughout the school day
You may also assist other students with general nursing needs if they arise.
Preferred Experience
CPI certification (preferred, not required)
Experience working with students with autism or significant disabilities is highly valued
