Job Title: Local Van/Truck DriverPosition OverviewAs a local transportation partner for a large global logistics group, we are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Local Van/Truck Driver to support daily pickup and delivery operations. This role involves transporting freight within the local region, ensuring timely service, and representing our company with professionalism. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer‑oriented, and committed to maintaining high operational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily local pickups and deliveries using company vans or straight trucks.Ensure all freight is handled safely, securely, and in compliance with company and customer requirements.Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic records as required.Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure smooth operations.Follow all DOT regulations, safety guidelines, and company policies.Assist with loading/unloading freight when needed.QualificationsValid driver’s license (CDL not required unless specified by vehicle type).Clean driving record with strong safety awareness.Experience driving vans or straight trucks in a local delivery environment preferred.Ability to lift, move, and handle freight as needed.Strong communication and customer‑service skills.Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.Willingness to learn and adapt to operational needs.Additional DetailsFlexible scheduling may be required depending on daily workload.
