In this position, you’ll support service technicians by coordinating parts and accessories for John Deere and other equipment, ensuring efficiency and minimizing downtime. Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for service technicians requiring parts and accessories for John Deere and other equipment

Coordinate and source parts efficiently to support timely service repairs and minimize equipment downtime

Assist technicians both in person and over the phone with parts identification, availability, and ordering

Maintain clear communication between the parts and service departments to ensure alignment on priorities and workflow

Monitor parts availability and proactively address shortages or delays that could impact service operations

Process parts orders, returns, and transfers accurately within the system

Support inventory organization, accuracy, and cycle count processes as needed

Ensure proper documentation of parts usage on work orders to support billing accuracy and reporting

Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe parts and service environment

Deliver a high level of internal customer service, fostering strong working relationships with technicians and team members

Qualifications

Skills / Experience

Experience in agriculture, construction, or heavy equipment industries preferred

Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn equipment parts and components

Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset and professional phone etiquette

Organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Basic computer and data entry skills, including ability to research information online

Dependable, proactive, and a strong team player with high integrity

Previous parts or service experience in automotive, heavy equipment, or related industries preferred

Willingness to work flexible hours, including participation in a Saturday rotation

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required

Preferred

Forklift certification

Familiarity with John Deere equipment, or other agricultural, turf, or construction machinery

Prior experience in parts sales, service, or inventory management

Compensation is competitive and based on skill level, experience, and knowledge.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday

Frequent use of hands for handling parts, operating tools, computer, and phone

Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs. regularly

Requires close vision for reading, inventory, and computer work

Must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone

Sufficient hearing required to communicate in active warehouse and work environments

Must be able to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if not certified)

Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and warehouse/yard environments
