Kelly Services Logistics Assistant in Burks Falls, Ontario

We are looking for a Logistics Assistant. As the Logistics Assistant you will play a key role in supporting inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring accurate inventory management and timely processing of shipments. This position is responsible for maintaining SAP documentation, coordinating logistics activities, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Please note: this is a full time contract position set at 9 months, possible extension available.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Logistics Coordination

  • Monitor inbound deliveries and ensure accurate processing within SAP

  • Create and process inbound deliveries and goods receipts (MIGO)

  • Verify packing lists, certificates of analysis (COA), and received quantities against purchase orders

  • Ensure accurate Goods Receipt (GR) postings following internal control procedures (two-step verification)

  • Support batch management and documentation accuracy

Outbound Logistics Coordination

  • Create outbound deliveries and manage pick confirmations

  • Post Goods Issue (GI) in SAP

  • Prepare shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and packing lists

  • Coordinate shipments with transport providers and track dispatch confirmations

Inventory Management

  • Maintain and support accurate inventory records and reconciliation processes

  • Monitor open deliveries and purchase orders

  • Assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventory

  • Manage stock transfers and return deliveries

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain organized and accurate shipment documentation files

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including dangerous goods (DG) handling

  • Retain documentation in accordance with audit and record-keeping standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related field

  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills

  • Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail

  • Solid understanding of inbound logistics operations and customs procedures

  • Experience with SAP (preferred)

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
