Read more at www.dsv.com Location: Burbank, WA Division: Road Transport, US Job Posting Title: Driver, Local Shuttle (Class CDL-A) Time Type: Full Time SUMMARY The local shuttle driver will be responsible for executing local deliveries within a 50-mile radius with a 26ft box truck with the utmost care, professionalism, and accuracy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate 26' box truck safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and the Department of Transportation Accurately and efficiently load and unload cargo, often using a manual or powered pallet jack Backs truck to customer dock. Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe and professional driving behavior. Communicates with customer representatives in pleasant, respectful, and efficient manner. Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers. Complies with all DOT requirements including drug and alcohol testing (subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing). Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle. Ensure that any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications & Work Experience CDL A License Required A minimum of 2 years CDL A driving experience within the last 4 years. 3+ years CDL A driving experience preferred. Meet D.O.T. qualification requirements, FMCSR 391.41. Experience in load securement, route planning, and navigating various road conditions. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle sensitive cargo with care. Detail-oriented / mindset required. Must have a TWIC or eligible to obtain a TWIC card within 90 days, if required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of a shuttle driver, the employee is required to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle. The employee must use hands and fingers to operate a steering wheel, controls, GPS devices, and other on-board equipment. The role also requires the ability to reach with hands and arms, climb in and out of the cab and trailer, and occasionally stoop, kneel, bend, or crouch during inspections, coupling/uncoupling,
