Buffalo. Systems Project Manager. Ferguson Electric. Full Time.

ABOUT THE ROLE Ferguson Electrics Project Manager Systems Division role reports to the Manager, Systems Division all while strongly upholding and promoting the organization's core values. WHAT YOU WILL DO 1.Build relationships with customers and introduce complete portfolio of Ferguson services where appropriate. 2.Collaborate across all Ferguson divisions when working with new and existing customers to ensure exceptional project delivery. 3.Adhere to IBEW rules and regulations and all customer, Local, State and Federal codes and standards. 4.Manage and oversee construction project lifecycle to include: 5.Contract, Finance, and budget: 6.Understanding the full scope of a project based on contract documents and or scope letter. 7.Manage customer requests for estimates in a timely manner. 8.Manage and track the Change Order process to effectively keep the project moving forward. This includes maintaining the contract value in Foundation is accurate with the work being performed. 9.Manage and prepare all invoicing per the contract and or the customers specific requirements. 10.Manage the project budget by tracking (and reviewing weekly) the projects committed costs and actual cost vs estimated costs and estimated cost to complete. 11.Setup and review weekly cost codes (based on all projects being over 1000 man\hours). 12.Create and manage subcontracts for necessary work to be performed on the project.
13.Manage multiple low voltage projects concurrently within the committed timeline and budget. 14.Develop new business leads with guidance from the Systems Manager. 15.Maintain knowledge of all low voltage systems to effectively position and sell the complete Systems portfolio of products (Structured Cabling, Fiber Optics, AV Systems, Nurse Call Systems, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarm). 16.Build relationships with customers and introduce complete portfolio of Ferguson services where appropriate. 17.Collaborate across all Ferguson divisions when working with new and existing customers to ensure exceptional project delivery. 18.Adhere to IBEW rules and regulations and all customer, Local, State and Federal codes and standards. 19.Bachelors Degree in a related field (construction or project management, engineering, etc.) preferred 20.Five years in the commercial electrical trade preferably running projects as a foreman. 21.Field experience coordinating with construction management. 22.Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take offs, change orders, and contracts. 23.Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects 24.Demonstrated ability to run a profitable portfolio.

Requirements ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

1.Associates or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2.5+ years of experience managing low-voltage systems in electrical contracting or a similar industry. 3.Expertise in network cabling (e.g., BICSI standards), fire alarm systems (e.g., Notifier, Simplex), security systems (e.g., Lenel, Bosch), and video systems (e.g., , Axis). 4.Strong knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC) and safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 72). 5.Experience collaborating with estimating, construction, and service teams in a contracting environment. 6.Ability to interpret blueprints and use design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam) to support project planning. 7.Proven troubleshooting skills for low-voltage systems in field settings. 8.Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with diverse teams and manage manpower scheduling. 9.Certifications such as NICET (Fire Alarm Systems), BICSI Installer/Technician, or manufacturer-specific credentials are a plus.

Salary Description $65,000-$80,000
