From your PASSION to ours:

Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Supervisor - Ricotta Packaging - 2nd shift in Buffalo, New York.

Summary:Ensures the department is running in a safe, productive manner. Focuses on production, quality and people. Identifies, investigates and works to solve problems that arise. Works closely with department employees and reports any issues to Ricotta Packaging Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. Assists operators in set up and start of packaging.2. Insures performance of quality control checks. 3. Verifies code information on all cups, boxes, packages and pallet labels.4. Completes and maintains appropriate paperwork/reports.5. Verifies operator logs each hour with signature.6. Performs seal checks on each line each half-hour.7. Tours entire room on a half-hour basis. 8. Monitors product giveaway at check weighers and address any issues with the machine operator.9. Assures that proper product sampling is complete and taken to the laboratory in a timely manner. 10. Reviews metal detection logs, addresses any issues that arise. 11. Checks cooling spiral temperatures, spiral speeds, and before and after cooling temperatures.12. Ensures sufficient manpower is scheduled for next day’s activities. Makes adjustments if necessary.13. Ensure that there are sufficient supplies (hoods, arm sleeves, and gloves) for the day.14. Maintains employee records including attendance, and write-ups as needed. 15. Maintains an open line of communication with all employees in Ricotta Packaging department.16. Identifies, investigates and works to solve any problems that arise in the department.

Qualifications:

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work required.• Ability to perform a multitude of tasks.• Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED required.

• Associate’s degree in business administration or dairy science preferred

• Knowledge of computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

• 3-5 years of Supervisory experience preferred.

• Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.

Salary Description

$65,000 - $75,000
