As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support shoppers and store teams with clear communication and strong customer service. This post requires an armed guard card/license. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of sales floors, common areas, back-of-house corridors, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and alarms; help to deter unwanted activity through high-visibility presence.
Control access to restricted areas and support loss prevention efforts by monitoring entrances, observing customer traffic patterns, and reporting suspicious behavior to site leadership and/or law enforcement as directed.
Complete patrol logs and incident reports, preserve observed facts, and follow all Allied Universal post orders and applicable laws while carrying and maintaining assigned equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
An armed guard card/license is required.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
