CTG Project Manager III in Buffalo, New York

CTG is seeking a Project Manager III to support high-visibility, enterprise-level initiatives for our client, with a strong focus on infrastructure and data center migration projects. This role is ideal for a results-driven project leader who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and can quickly adapt to complex technical landscapes.

Location: Buffalo, NY

Duration: 8 months

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead high-priority, complex projects impacting multiple business units or functional areas

  • Manage full project lifecycle from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, budget, and quality

  • Drive data center migration and infrastructure dependency management activities

  • Develop integrated project plans including scope, WBS, schedules, budgets, risk, and communication strategies

  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and translate needs into actionable deliverables

  • Track progress, manage variances, and implement corrective actions as needed

  • Oversee change control processes and ensure proper scope and schedule governance

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment across all stakeholders

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while maintaining compliance and control standards

  • Report project status and performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of project management experience OR 6+ years of combined education/work experience including 4+ years in PM roles

  • Proven experience managing complex infrastructure or enterprise IT projects

  • Strong background in data center migration and dependency management

  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments

  • Strong skills in planning, execution, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation

  • Proficiency with standard project management and business software tools

Preferred:

  • Experience in regulated environments (financial services a plus)

  • PMP or Agile certification

  • Large-scale enterprise project delivery experience

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
