Job Description
The Cashier is responsible for cash control for the facility. This position performs daily activities including cash collection, disbursement, deposit preparation, balancing, posting, securing patient valuables, calculating employee discounts, distribution of paychecks, and employee ticket sales. In addition, this position assists customers in understanding medical bills.
Education And Credentials
High School Diploma. A.A.S. degree in accounting preferred.
Experience
Two (2) years experience in financial services or equivalent combination of education and experience. Data entry & clerical keyboard skills. Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages accurately. Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and adding machine skills. Working knowledge of department specific patient accounting systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. This position requires independent thinking, resourcefulness, solid judgment, and problem solving.
