Brief Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering internal ITEC projects as well as projects for ITEC member organizations. This role provides overall project oversight, ensures clear and accurate communication with stakeholders, and manages scope, budget, timelines, quality, and risk. The Project Manager coordinates the work of internal team members and third‑party contractors while supporting and continuously improving ITEC’s established project management framework through documentation, training, and process improvement. The position also requires adherence to ITEC security policies, participation in required training, accurate time and effort reporting, and responsiveness to emergency incidents as needed, including outside of normal business hours.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager, with responsibility for scope, schedule, stakeholder communication, and delivery of projects of moderate complexity.
Demonstrated written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, including the ability to coordinate work across teams.
Demonstrated experience using project management and collaboration tools, such as Microsoft 365 and common project management platforms (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Monday.com).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Experience working in Information Technology environments, including managing IT‑based projects and familiarity with IT service management concepts (e.g., ITIL ).
Project management certification, such as PMP or CAPM (or equivalent).
Experience managing projects of significant scope and complexity, including multiple concurrent projects, extended timelines, and cross‑functional teams.
Experience working with senior‑level executives and stakeholders.
Experience working in a Project Management Office ( PMO ) or within established project governance frameworks.
Experience in higher education or similarly complex, multi‑stakeholder organizations.
Strong customer‑focused and team‑oriented skills, including team building, motivation, problem‑solving, and effective time management.
