Fisher Associates is seeking a Highway Project Engineer (PE) to help shape safe, reliable transportation infrastructure through the planning, design, and delivery of roadway projects. What You’ll Do as a Highway Project Engineer
Lead the development of preliminary and final highway design plans and cost analyses for new and existing infrastructure projects, delivering solutions that meet client goals and performance expectations.
Perform highway and drainage design tasks, including roadway alignments, profiles, and related project responsibilities.
Maintain detailed records of design documents, reports, schedules and budgets.
Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes.
Review plans and technical deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and constructability.
Participate in project planning meetings and align tasks to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations.
Provide technical support during construction, respond to RFIs and attend site visits.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients, subconsultants and regulatory approving agencies.
Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.
Requirements
What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Highway Project Engineer
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
10+ years of transportation experience with a strong background in highway design.
Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it.
Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads.
Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT preferred).

Salary Range$95,000-$135,000 annually
