Job Summary & Requirements
Job Summary: * The Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing presses to the necessary quality standard and efficiencies.
Duties/Responsibilities: * Set up, operate, and maintain a flexographic Press in a safe, efficient manner meeting all customer requirements (quality, safety, and on-time delivery). * Perform routine TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) on equipment and necessary cleaning as required. * Works effectively with Press Helpers and Packagers. Troubleshoot press problems and take corrective action to ensure job is completed to customer specifications. * Accurately report labor sheets, hour by hour tracking, and shift change turnover. * Train peers and new hires as assigned. * Complies with company, policies, procedures, and core processes. * Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities: * Strong mechanical skillset. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to function well in a team environment.
Education and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent. * At least 2-4 years related experience required.
Physical Requirements: * Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted from floor to chest.
