Enterprise Charter School (ECS) Overview:

Enterprise is a public charter school in Buffalo, New York educating children in Kindergarten through eighth grade. Founded in 2003, ECS is committed to "Engaging young minds through projects and partnerships."

We pursue our mission through our Charter's key design elements, with our primary focus on highly engaging project-based learning, comprehensive arts education, and individualized instruction for enrichment and acceleration. Enterprise Charter School is seeking Elementary School Teachers for the 2026/2027 school year. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and valid teaching certification.

We are looking for highly motivated elementary school teachers to join our team. As we prepare for next year, we plan to hire additional teachers in lower elementary classrooms (K-4).

The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable educators who are committed to inspiring students and fostering a positive learning environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrating an interest in working with students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.

  • Remaining empathetic to students' previous experiences and, at the same time, holding our students to high expectations.

  • Creating a positive, safe and collaborative classroom environment for students.

  • Continuously strengthening their classroom community by investing students and families in our school values.

  • Intellectually preparing to effectively deliver the school's curriculum and adopted materials in ways that maximize scholar learning and social emotional development.

  • Attending all required meetings to ensure strong schoolwide communication and professional development.

  • Participating in meetings with their coach to support their development, including observation and feedback meetings, planning meetings and data meetings.

  • Collaborating with coaches and peers to share best practices and build a strong adult culture.

  • Adjusting instruction as needed to meet the unique needs of our students, including by adjusting to support the different learning styles and academic readiness of their students.

  • Modeling, teaching and upholding the use of school-wide systems and structures

  • Participating in whole school events and home visits to help build strong trusting relationships with students and their families

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A demonstrated interest in impacting K-8 students in urban schools and communities

  • Understanding of formative and summative assessments.

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching

  • Skills in analyzing and using data to make instructional and behavioral decisions

  • Experience, knowledge and background related to NYS Next Gen Standards

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred

Enterprise Charter School offers a competitive salary, health benefits and is a member of the NYS Teacher Retirement System. Our teaching salary scale starts at $46,350 for the 2026-2027 school year.
