Summary:
Primary responsibility is providing complete administrative support, and acting as confidential Administrative Assistant, to the System Director, Laboratory Services & Laboratory management team throughout Catholic Health (CH) as needed. Provides the administrative support in managing daily tasks, reminders, and scheduling; maintains a work flow required for the effective functioning of the Laboratory Services Department. The associate performs this regularly, multi-tasking with changing priorities at a high level of important and confidential matters and issues. Coordinates the needs of an executive office; maintains confidential interaction with professionals inside and outside of the organization. Additionally responsible for coordinating budgetary information, handling capital & operational purchase orders and invoices, assisting in processing contracts, and managing timekeeping duties for laboratory leadership and quality teams. The associate is also secondarily responsible to investigate patient concerns in Epic as needed. The individual has responsibility to complete these functions to support overall laboratory service line growth and operations across the CH network.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- AAS Degree required or graduate of secretarial/business administrative program
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years Administrative Assistant experience in a Health Care Office
CAP/CPS Certification a plus
KNOWLEDE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to effectively prioritize work responsibilities and work with little or no supervision
Working knowledge of office equipment to include printers, fax machines, copiers and the ability to troubleshoot and replace cartridges
Computer literate; demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite including use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Medical Terminology; type 60 wpm
Epic experience preferred
