What you’ll do:
The Quality Engineer - Customer & Projects ("QE") leads Quality activities with fucus on Projects and Customer satisfaction. QE is responsible for meeting internal and external quality standards, industry regulations and Customer specifications.
Strategy & Change Leadership
- Work closely with Product Engineering, Program Mgmt, SCM, Operations and other cross‑functional partners.
Process Creation
- Ensure seamless integration of quality deliverables into New Product Development utilizing APQP and Eaton's PROLaunch processes.
Execution & Quality Assurance
Plan and perform Quality project reviews including specific customer requirements.
Track, and report quality KPIs.
Contribute to Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, Design for Six Sigma, Manufacturing Launch Readiness Review (MLRR) and ither standardized Eaton Business Systems processes
Regulatory Compliance and Adherence to Standards
- Ensure adherence to applicable Customer, industry standards and Eaton requirements.
Supplier Quality Management
Partner with Supplier Quality to ensure consistent alignment with Customer and Eaton standards.
Review deliverables and compliance evidence from external suppliers.
Support /Review audits, assessments, PPAP etc.
Organizational Development: Training, Coaching & Capability Building
Continuuesly pursue self-development oppoortunities.
Stay up to speed with internal and external process and procesures updates and enhancements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline.
Solid experience in quality, product engineering or manufacturing engineering for electromechanical or safety‑critical electronic systems.
Skills:
Strong understanding of electrical components/schematics, wiring, PCB assemblies
Working knowledge of Quality tools:
8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP
Root Cause Analysis methods
Ability to read engineering drawings
Experience with measurement systems and test equipment
Familiar with standards and compliance
Minitab or other statistical tools
MS Office and data analysis tools
Bonus qualifications:
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
Auditor certification (internal auditor or lead auditor)
Strong persuasion and stakeholder influence skills
Ability to challenge teams constructively
Clear communication and independent decision‑making
Cross‑functional collaboration (Engineering, PMO, Supplier Quality, Plants)
Structured problem solving and risk‑based thinking
Result-driven mindset and high attention to detail
