Sanofi Group People Services Specialist – Immigration in Budapest, Hungary

People Services is a dynamic operations department committed to delivering best-in-class advisory support and HR solutions. We ensure efficient process completion at every stage of the employee lifecycle, guided by our core principle of customer-centricity.

Our teams work in close collaboration with People & Culture, Legal, Digital Services, CoE Business Partners, Workplace Experience, Purchases & Invoice, Payroll Partners, and People Services front-line teams across local countries and regions.

People Services operations in the Budapest Hub cover the following areas on a European or Global scale:

  • People Life Cycle Management

  • Knowledge Base Management & Employee Query Handling

  • External Workforce Management

  • Global Learning Services

  • Quality, Performance, Employee Master Data & Reporting

  • Mobility Services

Role Overview

Reporting to the People Services Manager for International Permanent Moves, you will serve as a key contact for mobility processes across all employee levels. You will provide expertise across immigration, stakeholder management, and HR tools while supporting employees throughout their journey at Sanofi.

In this role, you will be empowered to propose process improvements, drive change initiatives, and actively contribute to building an efficient, innovative, and future-ready organization.

Main Accountabilities

Local Foreign Hires

  • Engage with foreign candidates to coordinate immigration processes, send welcome letters, and maintain clear communication throughout onboarding

  • Collect position details, personal documents, and order immigration services

  • Monitor applications and confirm employee start dates with relevant stakeholders

Job Changes & Work Permit Extensions

  • Initiate work permit applications for job changes and extensions, ensuring accurate documentation

  • Coordinate with People & Culture and People Services teams to manage company/position changes

  • Monitor expiration dates and keep all stakeholders informed on status and required actions

Terminations

  • Initiate immigration processes for departing employees and cancel work permits as required

  • Maintain immigration tracker and manage key documents (pre-agreements, certifications, etc.)

  • Oversee immigration administration tasks including Ügyfélkapu and Enter Hungary submissions

  • Update Workday records, prepare monthly reports, and manage POs and invoices

  • Identify and eliminate redundant activities through process improvement initiatives

  • Champion Digital Transformation and promote self-service adoption

  • Participate in process automation projects and keep documentation up to date as new cases arise

Expected Skills

  • Strong understanding of immigration laws and processes

  • Awareness of data privacy regulations (GDPR and equivalent)

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and deductive thinking skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Knowledge of statutory and legal regulations is a plus

  • Proficiency in HR / Human Capital Management tools, includingWorkdayandServiceNow(advantageous)

  • AdvancedMicrosoft Excelskills (essential); broader MS Office proficiency required

  • Familiarity with local immigration systems such asÜgyfélkapuandEnter Hungaryis a plus

  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong commitment to quality

  • Customer-centric mindset with the ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders

  • Collaborative team player with an end-to-end mindset

  • Highly organized, structured, and detail-oriented

Background & Experience

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in global mobility management

  • Knowledge of statutory and legal regulations is a plus

  • Graduate or Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience

  • Strong English language proficiency (minimum B2–C1) is required; additional European languages are a plus

  • Hands-on experience in an HR Services role, preferably in an international, multicultural environment

The salary range for this position is :Ft7 603 200,00 - Ft11 404 800,00

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
