Xylem Manager, EU Regional Deployment – Finance Expert in Budapest, Hungary

The Manager, EU Regional Deployment – Finance Expert reports into the Regional Finance Process Lead (RPL, Finance) for Europe and supports the Finance Lead in executing finance transformation initiatives across Europe. This role focuses on operational execution, financial process analysis, testing coordination, documentation, and program tracking to ensure successful deployment of global finance programs and ERP solutions.
The Finance Expert acts as a key operational partner, helping translate strategic program objectives into detailed execution plans, analytics, and deliverables that support ERP implementation, finance process standardization, and adoption across regional entities. This role requires strong end-to-end controlling, finance and accounting knowledge and the ability to travel up to 25% to support regional engagement and on-site implementation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Execution & Deployment Support
Support planning and execution of regional ERP deployment activities including workshops, localization sessions, and entity onboarding.
Maintain detailed deployment trackers for entities, milestones, risks, and action items.
Assist in coordinating the validation of solutions with regional subject matter experts (SMEs) during localization and deployment phases.
Drive and track adherence to the global program methodology (60/30/10) for simple, standard solutions and highlight potential deviations.
Financial Process Analysis, Documentation & Training Development
Analyze finance processes across regional entities and document gaps relative to global templates identifying opportunities for process standardization and simplification , minimizing customizations.
Develop and maintain: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Process documentation (process maps and workflows), Training materials, End-user guides
Support training preparation and execution for regional finance users during ERP deployment.
Testing Coordination & Validation
Coordinate finance testing cycles including Functional Unit Testing (FUT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) from a business user perspective
Prepare test scenarios, test scripts, and validation documentation.
Track testing progress, defect logs, and resolution timelines with technical teams.
Ensure business users complete required testing tasks and documentation.
Data Readiness & Migration Support
Assist in preparation and validation of finance master data and transactional data for migration.
Support data conversion validation and reconciliation activities.
Coordinate with finance teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data prior to deployment.
Stakeholder Coordination
Act as a coordination point between regional finance teams, SMEs, and the global program office.
Prepare materials and analysis for leadership meetings and program reviews.
Support communication of program updates, milestones, and upcoming activities.
Program Reporting & Analytics
Maintain program dashboards and status reporting using project management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar platforms.
Support tracking of program metrics including: Deployment readiness, Testing completion, and Issue resolution timelines
Prepare executive-ready reports for the Regional Process Lead.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management
3–6 years of experience in: Finance transformation, ERP implementation support, Financial process analysis, and/or FP&A or operational finance
Experience in Cost Accounting, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA or other ERP systems preferred
Experience working in manufacturing or operations-driven environments
Strong cross-functional communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Experience working in a global, matrixed environment preferred.
Ability to travel up to 25%
