Position Summary:
The Lead Accounts Payable Representative (VMD) ensures the accuracy and integrity of vendor information within multiple ERP systems by maintaining up-to-date vendor records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting efficient accounts payable operations. This role also includes responsibilities such as reporting, training, and active participation in projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Vendor Master Data requests in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring policies, procedures, and SLAs are followed
Proactively follow up on outstanding actions to ensure requests are completed on time
Mentor and train new team members
Perform reporting activities for the Team Leader
Lead process improvement initiatives
Lead projects (e.g., standardization, automation)
Act as backup to the Team Leader, Accounts Payable VMD, in operational responsibilities
Assist in the development of forms, procedures, and work instructions; identify data quality and process improvement opportunities
Maintain relationships with internal business partners to ensure data requests are complete and meet standards
Ensure high-quality customer service levels are maintained both internally and externally
Conduct phone calls to suppliers as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills Required:
Several years of working experience in multinational (ideally shared services) environment
Expertise in the field of Accounts Payable
Confident knowledge of MS tools (Outlook, Excel)
Ability to handle large volumes of requests within the agreed SLA while using several ERPs and workflows
Ability to multitask and follow (frequently changing) priorities
Ability to perform reporting tasks as assigned by the AP Team Lead
Process Improvement/Process Standardization/Process Automation experience
Ability to work under pressure
Team person attitude, quick learner, flexibility and high adaptability to change
Positive mindset, „can-do” attitude
