GE Vernova Lead Accounting Operations Analyst in Budapest, Hungary
Job Description Summary
As a member of the Gas Power Global Supply Chain Process Center of Excellence, the horizontal site support for manufacturing and repairs operations is the key finance partner flexing across one or multiple sites. This role is responsible for comprehensive financial closing, reporting and planning to downstream site operations and finance leaders. The mission of the horizontal site support is to drive improvements to core finance processes and partner with Data & Analytics COE to create tools & analytical solutions that enables efficiency to downstream operating partners. This role has indirect oversight over gross production costs e.g. maintenance, utilities, tools and supplies, cost of goods sold, while driving key performance indicators including indirect costs per hour (utilities, supplies & tooling, maintenance).
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Support manufacturing finance activities and rhythms, including planning, pacing, monthly operating reviews (MOR), closing, and audits
Perform key closing activities, including preparing and recording manual journal entries, execute improvements to decrease closing cycle times and number of manual journal entries
Understand and effectively communicates financial variance drivers of actuals versus pacing, plan including volume, mix, FX, etc.
Provide inputs into operational balance sheet reviews and support ongoing improvement to supply chain internal controls
Leverage indirect Data & Analytics COE and predictive analytic tools to enhance finance activities, pacing accuracy and provide value-add insights to operations
Able to identify and effectively communicate financial risks and opportunities and impact on operational KPIs
Promote and drive LEAN and standardization initiatives across GSC, delivering high impact financial analytics and controls that drives operational accountability
Professionally manage and communicate with senior stakeholders with the appropriate level of details
Provide insights and transparency to actual costs, aligning site/value stream roadmap to develop pipeline to improve or control total cost per unit and bill rates
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements
Ad hoc support of statutory or tax audits, internal billing or accounts payable escalations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline or equivalent knowledge or experience
Fluent English knowledge is essential
Relevant FP&A and Supply Chain Finance experience
System ERP Expertise: SAP
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
