Your role and responsibilities

As a Front-End Developer specializing in Cloud, you will code user interfaces, including interactions, responsive layouts, and styling, while utilizing and contributing to the IBM Design System. You will work with various programming languages and frameworks, such as JavaScript, Node.js, React, Vue, or Angular, to ensure user interfaces are accessible and enhance application performance. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop User Interfaces: Code user interfaces, including interactions, responsive layouts, and styling, using programming languages like JavaScript, Node.js, or frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular. • Implement UIs with IBM Design System: Utilize and contribute to the IBM Design System to implement user interfaces, ensuring consistency and best practices. • Ensure Accessibility and Performance: Ensure user interfaces are accessible and enhance the performance of the application, considering factors such as responsive design and efficient coding practices. • Work with Cloud Environments: Demonstrate expertise in multi-cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid clouds, as well as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). • Apply Cloud Development Concepts: Understand and apply concepts around Software Defined Networks (SDN), Network Resiliency, Container Applications using Kubernetes, Content Delivery, and development on competing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to Front-End Development: Proficiency in coding user interfaces, including interactions, responsive layouts, and styling, using programming languages like JavaScript, Node.js, or frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular. • UI Development Technologies: Skilled in UI development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JSON, and API usage, with the ability to apply these skills in a cloud environment. • Multi-Cloud Environments: Experience working with multi-cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid clouds, as well as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). • Cloud Development Concepts: Familiarity with concepts around Software Defined Networks (SDN), Network Resiliency, Container Applications using Kubernetes, Content Delivery, and development on competing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. • IBM Design System: Exposure to utilizing and contributing to the IBM Design System to implement user interfaces, ensuring consistency and best practices.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Cloud Competing Platforms: Familiarity with development on competing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, with the ability to adapt to new cloud environments. • Advanced UI Development: Exposure to advanced UI development technologies and frameworks, with the ability to apply these skills in a cloud environment. • Kubernetes Container Applications: Understanding of Container Applications using Kubernetes, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a cloud development context.
