Role Overview
The Associate Director, Commercial Operations is a critical operational leadership role responsible for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and execution excellence across BNF (Billing Notification Form) processes , internal product master data management (MDM)
This role combines hands‑on operational ownership with cross‑functional coordination, serving as a key partner to Finance, Sales/BD, and Reporting teams to support revenue readiness, product governance, and trusted executive reporting.
Key Responsibilities
BNF Operations & Revenue Readiness
Own day‑to‑day operational execution and support for BNF submissions (including iBNF, revised BNFs, internal revenue BNFs and multi‑year constructs).
Act as the primary operational expert for Sales, BD, and internal stakeholders on:
Opportunity readiness
Product line item setup
Revenue schedules
Required documentation and approvals
Drive consistent application of BNF policies, checklists, and SOPs to reduce rejection rates and avoid revenue recognition delays.
Support complex and non‑standard deal structures by advising on the correct operational approach.
Directly execute BNFs for intercompany projects
Product Master Data Management (MDM)
Own operational governance of internal product master data, including product hierarchies and master product code usage.
Maintain and distribute master product code references used across CRM, reporting, and commercial analytics.
Partner with key stakeholders and respective technical teams to implement hierarchy changes and mappings with minimal disruption.
Run Monthly MDM Governance meetings with key stakeholders.
Reporting
- Might be involved in reporting activities combining revenue reporting with other sources of information (eg sales, pipeline data, etc)
Stakeholder Management & Continuous Improvement
Partner closely with Finance, Sales Operations, BD, and Reporting teams to translate business needs into operational and reporting solutions.
Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives (standard work, templates, intake processes).
Represent Commercial Operations in working sessions related to reporting, product hierarchy, and revenue processes.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related operational analytics role.
Strong MS excel skills
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment with senior stakeholders.
Experience with product hierarchies, product master data, or taxonomy governance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex operational topics clearly.
Experience with SAP / Hyperion systems and financial data & reporting
Preferred Qualifications
Strong hands‑on experience with CRM opportunity management and revenue‑readiness or billing‑related processes.
Experience with PeopleSoft financial system and processes
