Honeywell Sr Controllership Analyst in Bucuresti, Romania
We have an opportunity for a Sr Controllership Analyst to join us at Honeywell, in Bucharest , where you will support complex accounting tasks including ledger management, tax reporting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation under US and Local GAAP. The role ensures compliance, supports ERP transitions, and provides accurate financial data for decision-making aligned with Honeywell and local standards.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.
Key responsibilities
Performs accounting activities which may include General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inter-Company, VAT and Tax reporting transactions, Inventories, Reporting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
May assist finance functions with payroll, tax, sales and/or cost accounting
Processes and check journals according to the defined procedures and accounting principles and legislation
Produces routine reports, schedules, and summaries for management
Scans statements, ledgers, and accounts to identify unusual or overdue items and selects the correct procedure to verify or adjust discrepancies or errors
Responds to specific questions from business stake holders and clarifies situations when necessary
Provides accurate analysis of reconciliation records to third party documents
Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit specifications
Conduct accounts reconciliation periodically, ledger close activities, and provide accurate financial data to support management in decision making
Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements under US GAAP
May perform variance analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts
May support US GAAP to Local GAAP conversion, account reconciliation
Supports the entity local ERP system transition to global ERP solution
Key skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
CECCAR or ACCA certifications may be considered an advantage
3–5 years of experience in General Accounting and reporting, with a total of more than 8 years in overall accounting
Fluent in English
Knowledge of US GAAP / knowledge of IFRS is mandatory
Understanding of financial reporting and internal controls
Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.)
