Air National Guard Units AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR in Buckley AFB, Colorado

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D1444000 and is part of the CO 140th MXS, National Guard. The purpose is to provide overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities within one of three major work functions (Aircraft Generation Division, and the Equipment Maintenance and the Component Repair Branches of the Aircraft Maintenance Division. Responsibilities Planning: Plans the overall allocation of personnel, funding and equipment resources to the organizational segments supervised to accomplish work operations which, because of their scope, volume, complexity, operational tempo, and total force integration must be planned on a annual or longer basis. Work Direction: Coordinates and directs the work of units supervised. Assigns and explains work requirements to subordinate supervisors and sets deadlines. Administration: Recommends promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors and reviews personnel actions prepared by them. Implements safety regulatory requirements. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises, and Operations Other Than War (OOTW). Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-8 Compatible Military Assignments: 2A390 or 2W191 AFSC 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2. An applicants RESUME must provide, in detail, how they meet each specialized experience listed below. 3. You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 36 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: 1. Experience installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting parts, subassemblies and components and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification. 2. Experience which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports. 3. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. 4. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. 5. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. Education Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
