Honeywell Statutory Reporting Expert in Bucharest, Romania
We have an opportunity for a Statutory Reporting Expert to join us at Honeywell , in Bucharest , where you will oversee financial reporting and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements, adherence to policies, and supporting financial close processes. You will report directly to our Country Controller.
The Senior Controllership Supervisor is responsible for the preparation of the financial statutory reporting and the completion of the external financial audit for multiple legal entities. The role closely collaborates with the extended team in the Regional and Global Finance Centers as well as with external service providers.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.
Key responsibilities
Ensure Statutory reports are timely and accurately filed for multiple allocated reporting units and legal entities
Derive Statutory Financials per local GAAP or IFRS (Middle East and Africa), based on US-GAAP group reporting
Ensuring all of the allocated entities financial transactions and obligations are properly accounted for and correctly reported for statutory reporting purposes based on the relevant accounting standards within the country of operations
Managing internal and external audit requirements, driving the statutory audit to completion in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations/country requirements on books & record provisions as well as SOX-Compliance
Conduct balance sheet reviews and analyze potential risks within the trial balance
Liaising with a variety of stakeholders to ensure deadlines, and standards are maintained
Supporting as necessary the Honeywell finance, legal and tax department on implementing and executing strategy and compliance activities
Key skills and qualifications
Degree in finance or economics (preferably in the field of accounting)
Ongoing or completed ACCA is a plus
Minimum 5 years of experience working as a financial auditor or working as a key contact to external financial auditors within an international matrix organization
Fluency in English - mandatory
US-GAAP or IFRS Accounting knowledge required
Excellent proficiency in Standard Office Software, experience with standard ERP’s is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills
