Honeywell Sr Statutory Reporting Analyst in Bucharest, Romania
We have an opportunity for a Sr Statutory Reporting Analyst to join us at Honeywell , in Bucharest , where you will be the primary owner of the financial accounting & compliance of the entities within the country. The role has end-to-end responsibility and oversight over US GAAP and Statutory reporting and ensures an environment of strong internal controls. The role closely collaborates with Regional and Global Finance Centers through managing staff and/or outsourced service providers.
The position reports to Country Finance Leader responsible for the region and takes oversight of relationships with business finance, tax (incl. tax advisors), Treasury, etc. Other key partners are internal and external auditors, Corporate Finance and Functional Management.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.
Key responsibilities
Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations/country requirements on books & record provisions
Prepare and being responsible for accuracy of Statutory Financials per local GAAP, based on US-GAAP, for entities being in scope
Coordinate statutory audits for entities and support resolution of findings
Support Month End closing activities; partner regional/global finance centers, supporting US GAAP reporting
Drive and support internal/external audits for entities and support resolution of findings
Cooperate with all functions for M&A and LES projects in country, from a statutory perspective and ensure local implications are known
Partner with internal stakeholders, including commercial finance, tax, treasury and legal on various projects
Key skills and qualifications
University degree with Finance or Economics background
At least 5 years of experience in the finance & accounting area
US GAAP/local GAAP knowledge
Very good communication skills in English are required; German is a plus
Effectively builds relationships with business partners, Honeywell Service Providers and Third party (government, banks, financial institutions, statutory auditors etc.)
Affinity to IT/Willingness to learn usage of specific IT-Tools
Understanding of legal, regulatory and compliance requirements
Multinational / Corporate / Large Business experience preferred ERP experience (SAP preferred);
Proficiency in Standard Office Software (especially Excel)
Previous exposure in working with Financial Shared Service Centers
Able to face transition issues, go beyond his/her role, fix urgent issues with local authorities in autonomy
Fast thinking and flexible skills; Self-motivated, demonstrates a strong desire to succeed
