Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Consultant to join our AMS team, providing ongoing support, maintenance, and continuous improvement for SAP Extended Warehouse Management solutions.
The role involves incident management, problem resolution, minor enhancements, and close collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L2/L3 support for SAP EWM in an AMS environment
Handle incident management, service requests, and problem tickets within SLA timelines
Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions
Support day-to-day warehouse operations by resolving system-related issues
Deliver minor enhancements and change requests (configurations and functional specs)
Work closely with business users, key stakeholders, and IT teams
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
Participate in release management, testing (UAT), and deployment activities
Maintain proper documentation (process flows, configurations, knowledge articles)
Support integration points between EWM and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, TM)
Required technical and professional expertise
Strong experience in SAP EWM (Decentralized or Embedded)
Good understanding of warehouse processes:
Inbound / Outbound processing
Put-away & Picking strategies
RF framework
Inventory management
Physical inventory
Experience in AMS / Support projects (ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)
Knowledge of integration with SAP ERP (S/4HANA or ECC)
Ability to analyze and debug issues efficiently
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with configuration and basic debugging (ABAP knowledge is a plus)
Preferred technical and professional experience
Experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM
Exposure to automation technologies (RF, MFS, Robotics integration)
Knowledge of Fiori apps related to EWM
ITIL certification or familiarity with ITIL processes
