Your role and responsibilities

As an Application Developer specializing in SAP Enterprise Integration, you will provide design, development, and support for complex technical integration solutions involving SAP Process Integration (PI) and/or Process Orchestration (PO).

You will work within the overall SAP enterprise system landscape, understanding functional requirements between SAP components and integrating with external applications. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Design and Develop Integration Solutions: Design, develop, and deliver complex technical integration solutions using SAP PI and/or PO, ensuring seamless integration with the core ERP solution and external applications.

• Support Solution Delivery: Provide support for the sales and delivery of integration solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and deployment.

• Integrate with External Applications: Integrate SAP components with external applications in the enterprise environment, ensuring smooth data exchange and functional interoperability.

• Understand SAP Enterprise Landscape: Maintain a deep understanding of the overall SAP enterprise system landscape, perceiving functional requirements between SAP components and identifying opportunities for integration and optimization.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Strong experience with SAP PI/PO (versions 7.x)

• Hands-on experience in ESR and Integration Builder (IR/ID)

• Good understanding of integration adapters (File, SFTP, SOAP, REST, IDoc, RFC, Proxy)

• Knowledge of mappings (Graphical, Java, XSLT)

• Understanding of SAP ECC integration objects (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Proxies)

• Experience with performance tuning and error resolution in PI/PO

• Familiarity with monitoring tools (PI Monitoring, Runtime Workbench, SAP AIF - nice to have)

• German Language mandatory

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Experience with SAP CPI/Cloud Integration • Basic knowledge of ABAP for debugging IDoc and RFC issues • Understanding of integration architecture and middleware best practices • Knowledge of SSL, certificates, and security configurations
