Banquet & Events Intern
The Banquet & Events Intern acts as the key link between meeting planners and all operational departments, ensuring seamless event execution and exceptional guest service. This role supports the full planning and on-site delivery of events, proactively anticipates client needs, and consistently upholds Sheraton’s service standards & programs. In addition, the intern contributes to the property’s commercial success by identifying opportunities to elevate experiences, enhance revenue, and strengthen client relationships by phone, in person or in writing.
Responsibilities:
Assist event hosts and coordinators before functions; confirm details and review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure accurate execution.
Support event setup, buffets, action stations, and special requests with a keen eye for presentation and upselling opportunities.
Deliver professional, attentive guest service; actively anticipate guest needs and highlight enhancements or add-ons when appropriate.
Communicate clearly and confidently with guests, colleagues, and supervisors, support phone handling and internal communication.
Help ensure events meet service, quality, and safety standards.
Collaborate with multiple departments (Sales, Kitchen, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering) to resolve issues promptly and support smooth operations.
Report maintenance needs and follow all safety, security, and company procedures.
Build positive client interactions, observe guest preferences, and share potential sales leads or future business opportunities with the Events & Sales teams.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
