ICF Next invites applications for the role of Communication & Project Management Trainee within the Client Relations Department. This position is ideally suited for recent graduates with relevant internship or short-term agency experience who are interested in pursuing project management in an EU communication environment.
You will support Campaign Managers in the coordination and delivery of EU 360° communication campaigns. This role goes beyond pure communication support and offers hands-on exposure to project coordination, planning, follow-up, and delivery management within complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Key Learning Objectives & Responsibilities
Under the supervision of experienced Communication Managers, the intern will:
Support Project and Campaign Managers in the day-to-day coordination of EU communication projects
Assist in planning, tracking, and monitoring project activities and timelines
Prepare and update project documents (meeting agendas, minutes, action lists, internal reports)
Attend internal coordination meetings and client meetings, and contribute to follow-up actions
Support follow-up with internal expert teams to ensure timely delivery of tasks
Contribute to quality control of project deliverables before submission
Profile & Skills
We are looking for a driven individual with a clear interest in project management:
Strong interest in project management, coordination, and structured work environments
Interest in EU affairs and communication projects
Recent Project Management graduate with coursework in EU Studies, Communication, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field, and ideally brief agency experience.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and reliable
Comfortable working with timelines, trackers, and multiple workstreams
Proactive mindset, eager to learn and take responsibility
Able to collaborate effectively with different teams and stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent command of English (written and spoken); other EU languages are an asset
Good written and interpersonal communication skills
