As a Mechanical Assembler, you’ll work hands‑on with mechanical components, panels, and assemblies in a dynamic metal manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do

  • Assemble hatches, panels, and mechanical components using hand and power tools (drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, torque tools, tape measures).

  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate, high‑quality assembly.

  • Prepare panels for painting, including installing insulation and hanging panels on racks.

  • Package completed assemblies, verify accuracy, and prepare them for shipment.

  • Cross‑train across multiple departments to expand your skills and support production needs.

  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and help maintain quality standards.

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

  • Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.

What You Bring

  • At least 6 months of mechanical assembly experience.

  • Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools.

  • Experience with drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, torque tools, etc.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in automotive, auto body, or similar mechanical environments.

  • Familiarity with torque tools and proper torque application.

  • Hands‑on mechanical experience (e.g., oil changes, small repairs).

  • Willingness to learn, cross‑train, and support multiple departments.

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a hands‑on role in a metal manufacturing facility, similar to an auto body shop. You’ll be on your feet, using tools, and working in an active production environment.

Shift options include:

  • First Shift:

  • Mon–Thu 5:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Fri 5:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m.

  • (extended hours and potential mandatory Friday overtime)

  • Second Shift:

  • Mon–Thu 2:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m., Fri 12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

  • Weekend Shift:

  • Fri–Sun 5:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (paid for 36 hours)

Additional details:

  • Non‑union environment

  • Steel‑toe boots required

  • Long pants and short‑sleeve or long‑sleeve shirts required

  • Occasional Saturday work based on production needs

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50/hr.
