Metropolitan Community Services (MCS) Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Companion in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota
Job Duties
Availability: 6am-9am, 1 weekday per week, no late nights, overnights, or weekends
Tasks: ride along with person via medical transportation to/from treatments; helping person to navigate the HCMC clinic (Mpls); support as needed when individual is using thier walker; and companionship
Preference: Experience working with the elderly and SPMI (Serious and Persistent Mental Illness)
Competency: Applicants must be able to pass background checks, and complete training
Minimum Education Required
GED or HS Diploma
Minimum Experience Required
1 year caregiving for someone with disabilities or mental illness
