Actalent Controls Engineer in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota
Job Description
We are seeking a Controls Engineer with expertise in automation. The role involves supporting internal equipment, which will be installed and commissioned at various sites. The ideal candidate will have over a year of experience in Controls Engineering specific to custom automated equipment.
Responsibilities:
Support internal equipment used at various sites.
Program PLCs and develop HMIs.
Design electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
Program and troubleshoot Robotics, specifically Fanuc.
Regularly troubleshoot equipment on the floor.
Travel up to 25% for equipment installation and commissioning.
Essential Skills:
1+ years of experience in Controls Engineering for custom automation.
Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens primary, Rockwell Automation secondary).
Experience with HMI/SCADA (WinCC primary, Ignition secondary).
Knowledge of controls hardware including sensors, remote IO, servos, VFDs, machine vision, and barcode readers.
Familiarity with industrial networking protocols such as Profinet and Ethernet I/P.
Robotics experience with 6-axis (FANUC primary).
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls and Computer Control Systems, Mechatronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. #mneng26

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00/hr.
