Caterpillar is seeking a 3rd Shift Fabrications Production Manager in Brooklyn Park. In this role, you will guide a team in the Fabrications and Machining departments for Caterpillar Paving Products with a focus on achieving your team’s People, Quality, Velocity and Cost (PQVC) performance goals!
What you can look forward to in this role:
Monitor and improve safety on the shop floor; eliminate any unsafe operations and ensure a safe and clean product environment.
Determineprocessing needs toassurefixtures,tooling and methods are provided to meet schedules and production requirements.
Daily tie-in with production management todesignatework load, priorities andsequencefor work assigned.
Determineovertime need,establishpriorities when resources are insufficient, and evaluate when disciplinary action is necessary.
Suggest changes in working conditions anduseof equipment to increase efficiency. Works to improve processes,timelinessand reduce costs byeliminatingnon-value-added activities.
Ensure the quality of product produced andconformsto Caterpillars Quality Policy whilemaintainingcost.
Implement various corporate initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, CQMS (Caterpillar Quality Management System) / ISO certification, etc.
Train and develop staff, perform time keeping, estimate personnel needs, assign work, meet completion dates, and ensure consistent application of organizational needs.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts,toolsand techniques; ability to effectivelytransmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application ofappropriate communicationbehaviors.
Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring andmaintainingwork in a systematic and highly methodical way.

Summary Pay Range:
$97,530.00 - $146,290.00
