Responsibilities

Contract Review Unit is seeking qualified candidates to fill vacancies. The Contract Review Unit is an evolving, five days a week operation, responsible for supplying TA Labor Estimates for Capital Projects which provides support personnel for Service Diversions, Construction Flagging and Work Trains throughout the system.

The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing, maintaining and distributing Force Accounts system-wide, for the Divisions' feedback. The selected candidate will review requests and make forecasts for Service Delivery Support Personnel per CPM/C&D and MOW requests. The selected candidate will, upon request from Construction Managers (CMs), review Account Charges made by Service Delivery personnel to the CM’s various Capital Projects, utilizing Payroll Sheets, General Orders, Supplements and various other documents. The selected candidate will also be responsible for preparing Action Plan memorandums for the outage of Fan Plants throughout the System.

Education and Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years in the title of Train Service Supervisor.

If you are selected for an interview, you will be subject to a skills assessment.

Desired Skills

Flexibility to the needs of the unit. This includes but is not limited to changes of tours and days off, especially in emergency situations.

Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, DRAW and Adobe Acrobat

Knowledge of "A" and "B" Track Schematics, Signal and Third Rail Diagrams

General knowledge of Service Diversion and Planning Strategies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to effectively understand Service Plans distributed by Operations Planning

Possess applicable knowledge of the Rules and Regulations (the Rule Book) and of the System

Selection Method

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

All appointments, with the exception of Department of Subways’ employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
