POSITION SUMMARY: Working in concert with the director of operations to ensure that the residential aides provide general assistance to the clients as set by the Department of Homeless Services and the OTDA, among other regulating bodies. The shift supervisor works in collaboration with other departments to ensure the clients are safe and engaged, and the facility is safe 24/7.
POSITION DUTIES:
Arrange operations staff schedule for appropriate coverage in collaboration with DOO.
Coordinate schedule for the client’s use of laundry machines.
Conduct onsite training for Residential aides.
Spot checks conducted while on duty.
Regularly monitors public indoor and outdoor spaces, ensuring a safe environment in accordance with CP and DHS standards.
Ensure the kitchen meets standards as set by the DOHMH and ensuring RA’S wear appropriate kitchen attire.
Coordinate the distribution of linen and collect linen for laundry service in accordance with procedure.
Ensure that food vendors deliver meals following the standards by DOHMH.
Responsible for accepting the meals delivered by the food vendor and taking the temperature.
Collecting daily food samples and ensuring they’re stored and discarded after 72 hours.
Review residential aide’s incident reports and occurrences and provide training to enhance accuracy.
When instructed, report priority #1 incident report to SIU and log the report into CARES.
Along with residential aides, coordinate room/dorm inspections.
Ensure all residential aides carry Narcan kits and employee ID at all times.
Review logbooks and provide feedback to residential aides.
Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
Maintain open communication with director of operations and other team members.
Interact with clients to promote a friendly, supportive but professional atmosphere.
Responsible for reviewing client sign-in/out sheet to ensure accuracy.
Attend mandatory in-service training as needed.
All other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, or Program Director.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or Equivalency with at least one year of experience working in congregate setting. Associate’s degree preferred.
At least one year of experience as a supervisor.
F-80 Required.
Food Handler's Certificate required.
HHA/CNA or other medical training preferred.
CPR/First Aide required: provided on site.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to speak/write the English language.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Computer Skills required.
Knowledge of CARES preferred.
