Collective Food Works Program Operations Coordinator in Brooklyn, New York
Overview
The Program Operations Coordinator ensures the smooth execution of the Food Cycle Program, managing logistics, schedules, reporting, and day-to-day program activities. This role supports staff and participants, ensuring a high-quality training experience while maintaining administrative efficiency. This role also participates in strategic planning and documentation efforts during the hiatus season to ensure continuous improvement and alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination: Organize class schedules, coordinate guest instructors, and manage participant attendance and engagement.
Logistics & Operations: Oversee facility use, kitchen schedules, and event logistics. Data Management & Reporting: Track program performance, maintain participant records, and assist with grant reporting.
Apprentice Support: Serve as a key contact for participants, providing guidance and meeting their needs.
Community & Employer Engagement: Help build partnerships with local food businesses, farms, and organizations to enhance training and employment opportunities.
Marketing & Outreach: Support recruitment efforts, program promotions, and event planning. Qualifications
2+ years of experience in program coordination, workforce development, or nonprofit operations. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience working with diverse communities.
Proficiency in Google Suite, Airtable, and other project management tools.
Passion for food justice, education, and workforce development.
