Aerotek Pipefitter in Brooklyn, New York

Job Title: Pipefitter Job Description

Join our team as a Pipefitter where you will be responsible for brazing and soldering copper pipes, pipe installation, layout, dry fitting, and threading. You will work with various piping systems including VRV, VRF, and ductless units, and handle copper HVAC lines.

Responsibilities

  • Brazing and soldering copper pipes.

  • Installing, laying out, and dry fitting pipes.

  • Threading pipes using a 300 machine and handling groove and screw pipes.

  • Installing branch boxes and working with VRV, VRF, and ductless units.

  • Running copper HVAC lines.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in pipe fitting, piping, and pipe installation.

  • Proficiency in brazing and soldering copper pipes.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Skills in using a 300 machine for threading pipes.

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and pipe work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • SST 10 (Workers Wallet), F60 & G60 certifications for NYC jobsite.

  • OSHA 30 certification for NJ and Regeneron/SST.

Work Environment

Work across three separate job sites with a start time of 7:00 am and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. You must bring all necessary tools and personal protective equipment from day one. Sites include locations in NJ (Warren Corporate Drive, Warren NJ), NY (Tarrytown NY), and NYC (255 West 34th Street).

This is a Contract position based out of Brooklyn, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
