Staff Engineer – Site Design
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Engineer to join our Site Design team. This role is ideal for an early-career civil engineer who is eager to grow professionally while contributing to high-quality land development and infrastructure projects. The Staff Engineer will work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer (PE) and support the planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and design of civil engineering site development projects.
Perform site grading and utility design using Civil 3D.
Support the development of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Conduct site visits and field inspections to gather data and assess project requirements.
Review designs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide technical support to the PE on design tasks and project coordination efforts.
Communicate effectively with internal team members, clients, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
1–4 years of experience in site design and land development projects (internship experience considered).
Proficiency or working knowledge of Civil 3D preferred.
Strong understanding of grading and utility design principles.
Familiarity with applicable engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated eagerness to learn, grow, and advance in a professional engineering setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Brookfield, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
