Position Summary
We’re currently looking for a Lead, IT Auditor to join our team in Bridgestone Internal Audit. This role will be responsible for coordinating and executing risk-based IT assurance, compliance, and advisory projects across the WEST Bridgestone footprint. In addition, the Lead IT Auditor will support the Company’s Japanese – Sarbanes-Oxley (J-SOX) compliance concerning IT general controls for critical applications. This role will report to the IT Audit Manager. We are looking for team players, eager to learn, and with a constructive and independent attitude.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of IT auditors as they plan, execute, and report medium to complex IT general and application control audits, IT security and governance reviews, and drive control/process optimization to assess the existence, effectiveness, and efficiency of the IT control environment;
Identification of control weaknesses, areas of sub-optimal performance or non-compliance with external and internal regulations and recommendation of workable but effective corrective actions;
Documentation of audit work based on established methodologies and professional standards including process understanding, risk assessment, sample selection, testing and rationale for findings and recommendations;
Effective communication of audit progress, issues and findings verbally and in writing;
Participation in advisory projects to assist senior management in continuous improvement of risk management and operating effectiveness;
Position may require moderate travel (up to 30%) and the ability to travel internationally.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, IT or related technical discipline;
Minimum of six (6) - eight (8) years of related work experience, experience in manufacturing and/or IT.
CISA, CISM or other similar certifications desired;
Deep understanding of IT General Controls, Application Controls, IIA Standards, as well as familiarity with SOX or J-SOX;
Working knowledge of internal accounting controls and scrutiny within an SAP operating context is preferred;
Strong project management skills to drive the execution of high-impact audits by leveraging business savviness, critical thinking, problem-solving, and a risk-based advisory mindset;
Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly review, understand and analyze business and IT processes to identify control deficiencies, operating issues, and opportunities for improvement.
