Breaking Ground Tenant Services Supervisor in Bronx, New York

Through our Street to Home outreach program and transitional housing resources, we help people get, and stay, on the path to a permanent home.
Tenant Services Supervisor
Reporting to the Program Director, Tenant 360, the Tenant Services Supervisor oversees the operation of the Tenant Services Office. This department helps to provide safe, secure, and well managed permanent housing and contributes to Breaking Ground’s overall mission of ending homelessness by working to build community and to engender tenant interactions with building staff. These goals are achieved through direct client contact, interaction with social services, and collaboration with outside organizations. The Tenant Services Supervisor manages Tenant Service Coordinators in BOROUGH(s) and oversees event planning at permanent, supportive housing locations.
This position has a 35-hour work week. Hours are Monday- Friday, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm, with some evening and weekend flexibility. This position may require travel between 2 building sites in the same borough. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the Tenant Services calendar of events and Newsletter for assigned building sites
Supervise Tenant Service Coordinators in multiple buildings.
Provide coverage for Tenant Service activities as needed
Oversee development and implementation of a wide range of programs and activities for residents
Research and identify potential external partners tenant for volunteer and program opportunities as they align with Breaking Grounds mission and goals
Work closely and host a monthly meeting with Building management and the onsite social services provider to coordinate the planning and implementation of events and activities
Gather tenant feedback to assist with the enhancement of events and foster a sense of community involvement
Partner with External Affairs and Property Management on upcoming volunteer events
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent required; Master’s degree in related field preferred (e.g., Social Work, Public Health)
Excellent writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and shift easily between tasks
Ability to travel to locations throughout New York City
Ability to work with diverse population, including persons with chronic mental illness
Demonstrated success in working in a fast-paced environment
Valid NY, NJ, CT, or PA driver’s license with a good driving record, as defined by Breaking Ground, is preferred
Proficiency in using Microsoft Windows, particularly Word Excel, Publisher and Access
