Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice Dean of Graduate School of Arts & Sciences ( GSAS ), the Senior Director of Enrollment Management provides strategic leadership for GSAS recruitment, admissions operations, and enrollment planning for Fordham’s graduate degree and advanced certificate programs.
The Senior Director develops and executes data informed enrollment strategies, manages the admissions funnel from inquiry through deposit, and partners with academic leadership and the Executive Director of Finance and Administration to establish enrollment targets, academic profile goals, and net tuition revenue objectives. The role also oversees the day-to-day admissions operation in Slate and ensures a high-quality, student centered experience from initial inquiry through matriculation.
Essential Functions:
Develops and executes data informed enrollment strategies for GSAS programs, using forecasting, analytics, and scenario modeling to set goals for application volume, yield, net revenue, and to identify growth opportunities and conversion strategies across audiences, geographies, and program modalities.
Leads GSAS recruitment and outreach strategy by identifying target markets and growth opportunities, overseeing marketing leadership, managing inquiry to enrollment communications, and representing GSAS through high quality recruitment events and engagement activities.
Leads end-to-end admissions operations, overseeing inquiry management through yield, serving as the GSAS Slate lead to optimize workflows, reporting, and data integrity, and ensuring consistent service standards and effective use of admissions systems.
Leads GSAS admissions-related financial strategy by coordinating admissions and merit funding decisions with academic and finance leadership, overseeing financial aid and scholarship operations, and advising on award pacing, yield impact, and budget stewardship to support balanced, mission-aligned cohorts.
Serves as the primary liaison between academic programs and prospective applicants, guiding applicants through the admissions process, communicating decisions professionally, and resolving escalated issues with diplomacy and discretion.
Coordinates admission to enrollment handoffs, communications, and readiness activities with GSAS Academic Operations and Enrollment Services, ensuring accurate student records and timely resolution of data and documentation issues.
Partners with GSAS Student Professional Development to plan and implement graduate orientation programs that support successful student onboarding.
Represents GSAS in university-wide graduate enrollment and admissions forums and leads the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of admissions- and enrollment-related policies and procedures in alignment with school and university standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible admissions and/or enrollment management experience (graduate/professional preferred).
Proven experience developing and executing data-informed strategic enrollment management, including forecasting, yield management, and net tuition revenue planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree (higher education, business, marketing, public administration/policy, or related field
Experience building enrollment forecasts and dashboards; facility with translating data into clear recommendations for academic leadership.
Experience partnering with and/or supervising marketing/communications teams and managing vendors or service providers (as applicable).
Minimum Salary: $122,000
Maximum Salary: $150,000
