Osborne has opened its first transitional housing and reentry program, The Fulton Community Reentry Center (Fulton). Fulton will provide 140 beds of transitional reentry housing to formerly incarcerated men who would otherwise be homeless after discharge from a correctional facility. Fulton will also provide onsite reentry services, including case management, benefits enrollment, employment, health, and substance use disorder treatment. The facility operates 365 days on a 24-hour basis daily, including evening and weekend hours (some positions will require non-traditional work hours).

We currently seek a full-time Program Coordinator to join our Fulton Reentry Community Center. The Program Coordinator will provide high quality, appropriate programs for Fulton residents, evaluate efficacy of programming, and liaise with external and internal providers to ensure all continuity, metrics, and (paperwork) is met. This role will supervise peer mentor positions and facilitate groups. This is an on-site position, at our Fulton Reentry Community Center, located in the Bronx, NY.

Salary Range: $65,800 - $67,000 annually

Essential Duties:

Resident Programming

  • Create, evaluate, and provide Fulton residents with access to high quality, life stage appropriate programming that meets their needs as older, formerly incarcerated adults, including but not limited to: educational programming, life skills and health programming, and recreational programming (celebrating holidays, sports event watch party, game nights, etc.)

  • Liaise with external and internal providers to provide smooth facilitation, including DHS required documentation.

  • Oversee addiction programming and services including narcan distribution and training and required documentation and reporting.

  • Coordinate with case managers and social services teams to ensure appropriate referrals and services are being provided to residents, as needed.

  • Make referrals to programming and services and ensure detailed descriptions of relevant interactions are noted within the resident’s CARES file.

  • Document engagements with residents in internal systems, as appropriate.

Managerial Duties

  • Assist Program Director and other senior staff with setting and implementing program goals.

  • Support data analytics team with gathering and explaining data as needed.

  • Supervise direct reports in providing direct, high quality programming and services to residents through weekly supervision sessions, professional development opportunities, and managerial guidance.

  • Intervene and deescalate conflict when observed and partner with Fulton’s security staff and other managerial employees to support a safe and respectful environment.

  • Respond to emergency situations as needed.

  • Attend daily senior staff check-ins.

  • In-person collaboration is an essential function of the job and required.

  • This position may require occasional additional night or weekend hours.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social work, Psychology, or a related field;

  • in lieu of a degree High School Diploma or equivalent, and an additional five years of related experience

  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a social service agency is required

  • CASAC-T is preferred but not required

  • Experience working with justice-impacted individuals is preferred but not required

Key Competencies:

  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, strong attention to detail, and time management skills

  • Work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions

  • Experience with crisis de-escalation and calmly assist during an emergency

  • Take initiative and work independently and collaborate with the Director and others on group initiatives

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suites, CARES knowledge a plus

  • Communicate with all levels of the organization and build strong relationships
