The Department of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences at Bronx Community College seeks candidates for the instructional faculty at the Lecturer, Assistant or Associate rank with a commitment to work effectively with diverse student populations, faculty, and staff. This individual will serve as Coordinator of the Dietetics and Nutrition Science program. The candidate should be able to teach courses in dietetics and nutrition, community nutrition education and food justice, student advisement, student outreach, active involvement in recruitment, and marketing efforts for the department programs. The candidate will share responsibility for college committees and departmental assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions of the department. QUALIFICATIONS For Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor: Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. For Lecturer: Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters in Nutrition or related field and Registered Dietitian license required. College teaching experience. Ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution and the department. Experience with the integration of technology in teaching is desired. For Lecturer - Must hold a masters in Nutrition or related field and Registered Dietitian license. Minimum of two years of teaching experience at the college level and strong administrative skills, interpersonal and communication skills. For Assistant Professor - In addition to the qualifications above the candidate must hold a Doctorate in Nutrition or related field. Possess a willingness to engage in scholarly work. The ability to teach successfully in a college environment, knowledge of curriculum development, understanding of subject level/program level assessment, innovative teaching methods. The candidate must possess strong administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills. For Associate Professor - In addition to the preferred qualifications listed above, candidate must hold a Doctorate in Nutrition or related field and posses the following qualifications: Five (5) years teaching experience in a college level nutrition or related program. Experience with curricular and course development. A record of published scholarship in refereed journals. A demonstrated record of grant writing. COMPENSATION Salary commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience within the range of title: Lecturer: $57,039 - $101,737 Assistant Professor: $57,252 - $109,025 Associate Professor: $74,249 - $129,041 CUNY offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
