Job Description:
3M is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering candidate for its Manufacturing Engineering team, located in Brockville, ON.
*Successful security clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration program is a mandatory pre-requirement for this position at this location. Please note the following are some (but not all) of the listed requirements for Controlled Goods Clearance:
Must be a Canadian citizen normally residing in Canada, or must be a Permanent Resident normally residing in Canada
Must have valid and current identification (i.e.: driver’s license, passport, birth certificate)
Must be able to provide a residential address and employment history of the past 5 years
If applicable, living outside of Canada during the past five years will require an international criminal name check
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. You will be responsible for initiating and conducting defined technical tasks usually associated with Process and Product Understanding within a manufacturing environment. Here, you will make an impact by:
Supporting engineering aspects of plant safety improvement plans
Developing and executing OEE improvement projects on key plant assets
Developing and executing yield improvement plans to help minimize both design and process scrap
Supporting material substitution projects to help drive down unit cost
Supporting new product introduction efforts
Supporting implementation of renewal, cost reduction and growth-related capital projects
Participating in supplier quality management
Supporting a 24/7 production environment
Your skills and expertise
To set you up for success in this role from Day 1, 3M requires (at minimum) the following qualifications
College diploma or bachelor’s degree (completed and verified prior to start) in a mechanical discipline.
Six (6) months of experience in a manufacturing environment in a continuous improvement, process or product engineering field in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
SolidWorks mechanical design skills
Experience with statistical analysis software
Power BI
Siemens, Schneider, Allen Bradley PLC experience
Work location: Brockville, ON
Travel: May include up to 5%
Relocation: Is not authorized

The expected compensation range for this position is 93,463-114,233, which includes base pay and variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
